A-ligner: Simple Work Procedures

1. Clinical Test

  • make dental impression (silicone) and impression of occlusal bite – alternatively, make intraoral scan (folder “stl”)
  • make face and intraoral pictures
    • assistance for beginners: information on how to properly make the impression and take pictures
    • impression is the basis for developing a digital model “semipro”  and the basis for designing -ligner.
  • send an application form (here) – to receive assistance

2. Shipment of impressions or “stl scan”

Developing digital model „semipro” – a basis for designing -ligner:

-ligner may also be developed in your own laboratory ( “In House”). The assistance and education for referred technicians – complete “In House” procedure – digital model and -ligner.

3. First order:

4. Planning treatment with -ligner

  • development of a digital set-up on the  model – support/assistance is always available
  • full control and immediately visible own project of occlusion
  • alternatively, assistance of Polorto/Ortolab expert
  • possibility of exchanging files with treatment plan and occlusion project: clinician to clinician
  • commercial consultant assisting in treatment plan/project of occlusion
  • supervision of technician (simulation of aligners) for planned occlusion
  • development of a plan (file) together with aligners and execution of-ligner

5. Confirmation

  • final occlusion planned by the physician is not subject to change
  • the 3D simulation provides the view of the expected final positioning of the teeth after treatment
  • digital set-up verified by a technician (after simulation) is sent to dental professional
  • approval of the presented treatment plan for the execution of-ligner set or make changes by oneself
  • approval by the dental professional and confirmation or transfer of the file start-up production of -ligner aligners
  • deliveries in smaller batches or „In House” product

8. Control of treatment progress

  • check-ups to monitor progress according to the plan
  • in every case/at any time, control/new impression or intraoral scan may be performed (in such a case, final set-up may remain unchanged)

9. Completing treatment

  • highly specialized materia-ligner allows for using the last aligner as „Retainer for Life®”
  • Patient receives the retainer and 3D print-out (for the event copies of retainer must be executed in the future)
